Sidcup Buses

The 286 runs between Greenwich and Queen Mary's Hospital Sidcup.

Arriva 3218. P218 MKL on route 286 at the Sidcup end of Halfway Street. The side turning is Burnt Oak Lane, which still winds its way to Blackfen. Behind the bus can be seen the oldest occupied house in Sidcup, which dates from circa 1450.

London Central (BX) route 51 in Station Road, Sidcup. The bus has just passed under the Railway Bridge at the station. Seen here on 22 February 2001. Buses along this road were restricted to single deckers until the road under the bridge was lowered in 1958.
Route 51 runs between Woolwich and Orpington Station.

The London Central  showing 422, is in fact on route 229. Somebody forgot to change the rear blind. This is in Station Road Sidcup on 22 February 2001. The dip under the bridge can be clearly seen where the road was lowered in 1958.
Route 229 runs between Thamesmead and Queen Mary's Hospital. The 422 is North Greenwich Station and Bexleyheath.
