The Leyland Titan


T919. A919 SYE seen in Well Hall Road looking towards Eltham on 27 December 2001. The Titan was produced between 1977 and 1984.

A Leyland Titan on training duties at the Rochester Way, Westhorne Avenue Junction in Eltham. Seen on a frosty moring 2 January 2002. In the background is St Barnabas Church. This was built in the dockyard at Woolwich as the chapel in 1857, and was moved to the present site in 1933. It was gutted by incendary bombs in 1944 and rebuilt in 1957.

In Eltham High Street again can be seen T928. A928 SYE on driver training duties. A very wet Monday was 11 February 2002. In the photograph is Eltham library which was opened in 1906 with the assistance of Andrew Carnegie. The high street was only a narrow road in those days with more houses than shops.
