Special RM Services


To commemorate 175 years of London's Buses two routemasters were given a special livery. This one RM 25 (855 UXC - ex VLT 25) was painted in a style similar to the Great Northern Railway which ran horse buses around the Kings Cross area. It has been used on route 19. Seen at New Cross, bound for Hither Green Station.

This Green RML 2317 (CUV 317C) belongs to Metrobus Godstone Garage. It can often be seen at events with blinds set for route Godstone route 410, Waiting for a gap in the traffic to turn into New Cross Garage.

RML 2405 (JJD 450D) was one of those painted in gold livery for the Queen Golden Jubilee in 2002. At the end of the event it was repainted back to red. Since acquisition by ensign it has been repainted gold again. Seen here at New Cross with RM50 logo.

SRM3 (ex RM1650 - 650 DYE) This was one of twenty five routemasters painted in a silver livery for the Queens Silver Jubile in 1977. This the only one to survive was recently painted into silver again.
