RT 50 was to celebrate 50 years of the RT in London. The first RT1
was introduced on the eve of WW2 in 1939, with more to come in the first
few months. RTs arrived at the London Transport Museum every few minutes.
These photographs show just a few of them.

This is RT 4421. NXP 775. The blind reads "Fifty Years Of RT Buses
On The Streets Of London" and the destination is Convent Garden. Seen in
Russell Street, Convent Garden.

As well as the red central area RT buses, a large number were also
allocated to the country area like green RT 1700. KYY 527.

Few RTs were to be seen in other parts of the county, exceptions were
Bradford & St Helens. Seen here is St Helens D67. BDJ 67. attending
RT50.
