RT 2776 LYR 827. London Transport Service 86. Limehouse - Romford Station,
seen here on the way to Limehouse. This bus has vents above the front windows.
Seen at Stratford Broadway.
RT 2776 along with RT 2775, and RTL 1307 went to the United States of America, and Canada in 1952 as part of a "Come to Britain" campaign. A plaque carried inside the buses read:-
Each of the buses also carried a special Mobiloil advertisement on the
rear exterior panel which read:-
London Transport buses which carried GB plates kept chassis and body
together for life instead of being swapped during overhaul. There was a
slip up with RT 2776 as not long after this photograph, this body with
the vents ended up with the chassis of RT 1708. KYY 535.
