99 Bus Ticket

Thanks to Steve for tickets

Geograpic ticket for service 99. Space on the back of the ticket has ben used to advertise Golden Shred.
Service 99 started it's days as an L.G.O.C. (London General Omnibus Company) Service. It was inaugurated on 22 May 1916, and ran from Erith, Prince of Wales. to Woolwich, Earl of Chatham.
It still ran between the same terminals until the 1970's. It still runs between Erith and Woolwich, the terminals have just changed. It was probably one of the last routes in London, along with sister route 122a, not to pass through a traffic light for the whole of it's journey. From Woolwich to Erith, there were none, this in the 1970's. There was one traffic light however on the return journey at Thomas Street, Woolwich.
