London Transport Gibson machine type tickets for Country area buses. The ORD on the ticket shows it to be an ordinary adult fare. These were issued in 1968 and 1969. The Country area tickets had the date printed in the route No box. As green rovers were issued from the machines. Papers with colour tints were often used in these machines. Above buff and green, below pale pink. |
Some ticket prices had to be built up in stages due to the limit of
prices available on the machines. Often two or sometime more tickets had
to be issued to cover the price. COM was printed to show it was a combination
ticket.
The sample above was for 1/6 and issued in 1967. |
