Silver Routmasters


SRM 18. ALD 906B. ex RM 1906. Seen here in High Holborn on service 25 (Becontree Heath - Victoria) on its way to Victoria Twenty five of these buses in central London were repainted silver as part of the London Celebrations for Queen Elizabeth's Silver Jubilee in 1977. They were paid for by sponsorship, SRM 18 is by Nat West bank. They ran between February and November 1977, after which they were repainted red.
