A route 21 bus in Eltham High Street. Seen outside the library c.1912. The 21 bus after serving Eltham for many years has now gone.

Tram Well Hall Road
The trams in these photographs were run by London Transport. They were taken in July 1952, in Well Hall Road, Eltham. This road hasn't changed much except that the trees have grown into giants. The trams on the left were on routes 44, 46, 72.
The photo on the right is of a tram on route 46. This service went from Woolwich to Southwark via Eltham and Lewisham.
The Picture below also shows Well Hall Road, after the morning rush.

Eltham Green

The 72 tram is on the Eltham Green roundabout after coming down Westhorne Avenue. The tram and bus in the background are coming down Eltham Hill from the high street, the tram is a 46, the bus probably a 21.

Service 72 Woolwich - Shooters Hill - Lewisham - Camberwell - Westminster Bridge - Victoria Embankment .
Service 46 Woolwich - Eltham High Street - Lewisham - Old Kent Road - Great Dover Street - Southwark Bridge - City.
Service 44 Woolwich - Eltham only.

Last tram week July 1952. The 72 tram was replaced by a 186 bus, later parts by 122. and 163 buses.

Well Hall bus station, which was alongside Well Hall railway station. This was in Sherrard Road, The view in this picture is towards Well Hall Road on the left and Sherrard Road on the right.
RTs on route 61 and an MB on route 126 can be seen.
